On October 3, 2009, 30 girl scouts came out for an educational and fun day at BirchKnoll Alpacas.  After an hour of learning about the history of alpacas and their health care, they enjoyed a hands on experience with the alpacas.  Then they had a craft session and made felted cat toys with fiber. As a way of contributing to the health and well being of the Peruvian children, the girls donated toothbrushes to the Quechua Benefit.

THE BIG NEWS is the addition of Grand Slam -- our new herdsire, that we co-own with Timberland Alpacas from Oregon. Go to the “Animals” tab and check him under our male alpacas.  He is breeding now and his genetics speak for themselves.
